Writers Open-Mic Night with Greenwich Pen Women

Time to seize the spotlight!

Open Mic Night is a live, in-person event, coordinated in real-time. Please register in advance for seating prep. Once at the event, people who want to read their work aloud sign up for five-minute timed slots on a first-come, first-served basis. Five minutes is enough time for writers to read 500-700 words of fiction, memoir, poetry, essays, scenes, lyrics, blogs, or other work. Artists and composers can use five minutes to share the inspiration and meaning of a painting, photo, or musical piece.

A moderator manages the flow and a timekeeper monitors the five-minute time slots.

Greenwich Pen Women is thrilled to bring back our popular Open Mic Night at Greenwich Library. Open Mic Night gives the surrounding community of women and men writers and creatives an opportunity to read their original work aloud, meet fellow writers, and raise their profiles.
