Reeves Annual Flinn Legacy Lecture - Andy Warhol: Icon and Enigma

The Flinn Gallery, in partnership with Greenwich Library, is pleased to welcome Blake Gopnik, esteemed art historian, critic and author, who will present “Warhol: Icon and Enigma”, as the second annual Flinn Reeves Legacy Lecture. Gopnik gives us the clearest documentation to date of a mysterious man and an artist who constantly avoided definition, and whose work continues to impact our art and culture today, providing an in-depth look into the Andy Warhol’s life and work from historical, social, and artistic perspectives.

Warhol will be available for sales and signing through Diane's Books.

Blake Gopnik is the author of Warhol, the first comprehensive biography of the Pop artist, and in the spring of 2022 began work on a biography of Albert Barnes, the great American collector of modern art. He has been the staff art critic at The Washington Post and Newsweek and is now a Contributing Critic at The New York Times. He has a PhD in art history from the University of Oxford.
