The October Book selections are two books from the popular Squish series by Jennifer L. Holm.  Squish "Super Amoeba" and "Brave New Pond".  In "Super Amoeba" we meet Squish, a meek amoeba who loves comic books about his favorite character "super amoeba" and attempts to find his own super powers within to fend off a bully.  We return to the microcosm in "Brave New Pond" where Squish is starting a new school year and finding new friends, determined to be picked for kickball.
