YOUnify CEO, Brandyn Keating, has more than 20 years of experience designing, implementing, and training others on deliberative processes and civic engagement. She has worked to build the capacity of state governments, municipalities, businesses, and nonprofit organizations to work together to create policies and systems that center the lived experience of those they are meant to serve. A sought-after speaker, trainer, and coach, she is a member of the Harvard Human Flourishing Program’s community of practice and its offshoot the Global Leadership for Flourishing Community of Practice. With colleagues from those communities, she is a co-author of the discussion paper that proposes Global Flourishing Goals as the next evolution of the UN’s sustainable development goals as well as the forthcoming book Leadership for Flourishing. She acts as a global ambassador for the Global Flourishing Goals. Keating has served in leadership roles in presidential campaigns, SuperPACs, and national nonprofits. She served on Governor Deval Patrick’s public safety transition team and as co-chair of the legislative subgroup for the Massachusetts Bar Association. She holds a JD from Suffolk University Law School.

Sarah Perkins is a filmmaker and PhD student at Brandeis University. Together with her husband, she oversaw this project from development to post-production as co-director, co-editor, and camera operator. Their most recent film, American Tragedy, won Best Documentary at the Boston Film Festival. It was one of three films selected to premiere on opening night alongside Taika Waititi’s Jo Jo Rabbit and Terrence Malick’s A Hidden Life. It has since ranked in the top 20 most watched documentaries on Amazon Prime and has been viewed over two million times. She recently relocated from Boston and now lives in rural Idaho with her husband and two children.
