AuthorsLive: The Perfect Story: How to Tell Stories That Inform, Influence, and Inspire by Karen Eber
AuthorsLive welcomes Karen Eber, CEO, Chief Storyteller, and author of The Perfect Story: How to Tell Stories That Inform, Influence, and Inspire for a two-hour, interactive storytelling talk with hands-on activities introducing the steps for finding and telling the perfect story for each occasion.
The need for clear and meaningful communication has never been more critical in our information-saturated world. Those who can effectively inform, influence, and inspire their audience gain a significant advantage. Even as AI advances, storytelling remains a key human skill for building trust and forming connections.
However, it’s not enough to tell a story. The way you tell one impacts the experience and outcome—determined by how well it engages the audience’s brain.
In The Perfect Story, Karen Eber demonstrates how to scientifically hack the art of storytelling by leveraging the Five Factory Settings of the Brain. She makes storytelling accessible by sharing where to find story ideas, and how to apply a simple, memorable model for telling stories that inform, influence, and inspire for any setting.
This talk covers:
- Describing and applying the science of storytelling.
- Finding endless ideas for stories to tell.
- Defining your audience and the desired outcomes for the story.
- Applying a structure to the story.
- Including details and emotions that engage the brain.
Whether you’re leading a team, giving a presentation, selling a product or service, interviewing for a job or communicating data, learn how to find and tell the perfect story for each audience.
Following the event, copies of The Perfect Story will be available for purchase and signing through Diane's Books.
