40th Annual English-Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition
Sponsored by the Greenwich Branch of the English-Speaking Union, the Smith College Club of Greenwich-Stamford and the Friends of Greenwich Library, 20 students chosen through preliminary school competitions througout the State of Connecticut will present a monologue and sonnet. The winner of this branch competition will advance to the English-Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition at Lincoln Center in April. Judges include theater professionals.
The event is free and open to the public.
