Pollinator Pathway: Creating a Connected Future
Pollinator Pathway founder Donna Merrill will join us for a presentation just in time to plan those spring gardens. Merrill will offer valuable insights into the importance of pollinators, which goes beyond butterflies and bees; as well as the steps we can take to support their habitats. Additionally, the presentation will cover how each of us can be a part of this vital movement to protect our planet's biodiversity.
Attendees will bring home a free native seed ball.

Donna Merrill is the founder of Pollinator Pathway, a grassroots initiative dedicated to creating a connected network of pollinator-friendly habitats in urban and suburban areas. With a deep passion for environmental conservation, Donna has worked tirelessly to raise awareness about the critical importance of pollinators—such as bees, butterflies, and other insects—in maintaining biodiversity and supporting healthy ecosystems.
Through her work with Pollinator Pathway, Donna has spearheaded numerous community engagement projects, educational programs, and partnerships aimed at promoting sustainable gardening practices, habitat restoration, and local environmental stewardship. She believes that even small, intentional actions—like planting an window box garden—can make a significant difference in supporting native pollinators and reversing the decline of these vital species.
Donna’s vision for a more sustainable future is rooted in collaboration, and she continues to work with schools, community organizations, and municipalities to cultivate a deeper understanding of the environmental challenges facing pollinators and how individuals can help make a positive impact.
