Innovator-in-Residence: Building the Ultimate Rube Goldberg Machine

Visit the Innovation Lab anytime between 3-6 PM on March 7, 13, 21 and 28th, where our Innovator-in-Residence, Mechanical Engineer Walker Wind, is leading the design and construction of a dynamic Rube Goldberg machine—and you can be part of the action! Each week, explore a new engineering concept, from levers and pulleys to inclined planes and other simple machines.

Don’t miss the grand finale at the Innovation Experience on Saturday, March 29th, where all the pieces will come together in a spectacular, collaborative Rube Goldberg machine!

Walker Wind is a mechanical engineer and Senior Consultant specializing in sustainability. He provides engineering and economic analyses that inform the Department of Energy's efficiency standards for home appliances and HVAC systems. Previously, he served as President of the Tufts chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and as Fabrication Supervisor at the Nolop Makerspace at Tufts University.
