Kinetic Art Using Robotics

Kinetic art projects blend 3D printing, mechanics, electronics, and computer programming to produce captivating forms and dynamic motion. Meet Vladimir Mariano, our Innovator-in-Residence emeritus, as he shares innovative works of kinetic art.

This experience is open to all ages and will run from 10AM to 3PM in the Innovation Lab on the 1st Floor of the library.

Vladimir Mariano is the co-founder of the Fairfield County Makers’ Guild, founder of CT Robotics Academy, and the founder of Desktop Makes, an online platform dedicated to teaching makers how to design 3D models using Autodesk Fusion. From 2017 to 2024, he led the Norwalk Community College Makerspace, playing a key role in its development. Vladimir is passionate about sharing his expertise and regularly collaborates with local libraries to offer a variety of maker workshops on topics of design, electronics, computer programming, and more.
