Poetry Open Mic

Time to share your Poet's Voice!

Open Mic Night is a live, in-person event, coordinated in real-time. Please register in advance for seating. Once at the event, people who want to read their work aloud sign up for five-minute timed slots on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 5:00pm.  There will be 12 five-minute slots for speakers this evening. As this event is being done in tandem with the Poet's Voice reading performing arts event and to follow we are only accepting poetry readings at the open mic. After the guaranteed 12 slots we will create a waitlist and work our way through it as time allows.  Please respect that the library is a public venue, no politics, profanity or promotion.

A moderator manages the flow and a timekeeper monitors the five-minute time slots.

Please note, those attending Poet's Voice w/ Marie Howe and Jesse Paris Smith following the open mic must register for BOTH the Open Mic AND the Poet's Voice.
