Ecological Landscaping: A Quest for the Right Balance Online

Humans have long tried to control nature, maintaining our outdoor spaces like manicured indoor rooms. Instead of prioritizing sterile, immaculate, unchanging landscapes, what if we used the natural world as a guide when designing landscapes? Through ecological landscaping, we design environments that mimic natural systems in water management, habitat creation through native plant communities, cleaning up pollutants from the air and soil, and sequestering carbon dioxide. Collectively, these objectives are called ecosystem services. Join us to learn about the paradigm shift of ecological landscaping. You don’t have to sacrifice a beautiful landscape, but you can decide to make it more productive, more natural, and more alive.
