Friends Friday Films: Maiden with Sailor Dawn Riley

This inspiring documentary traces the journey of the first-ever all-women sailing crew to compete in the Whitbread Round the World Race. By the time they returned to their starting point at Southampton, England after 32,000 miles of global racing, they had shocked, inspired, and transfixed the international sailing community. Runtime: 1h 37m Rated: PG

REEL Talk: After the film stay with us for a Q&A with Dawn Riley, who served as Watch Captain, Driver, and Engineer on the Maiden's historic voyage. Since that trailblazing race, Dawn has been the first woman to manage an America’s Cup sailing team as CEO and Captain of America True. She has raced on four America's Cup campaigns and two Whitbreads (now Volvo Ocean Race).

A trailer for the film can be found here.
