Elements of Writing: Dialogue Online

Everyone knows that dialogue is essential to the art of storytelling, but it can be hard to determine when to include it, and even harder to write it so that it is both realistic and compelling. This program will explore the rules for including dialogue and the keys to writing it effectively.

Amy Ralston Seife is an award-winning short story writer. The editor-in-chief of The Westchester Review, she also teaches creative writing classes and workshops and is a freelance editor and writing coach. She holds an MA in English Literature from Yale University and an MFA in fiction writing from Sarah Lawrence College and an MBA from Columbia University.
