Greenwich Pen Women is thrilled to bring back its popular Open Mic Night on November 17, Thursday, at Cos Cob Library. Open Mic Night gives Greenwich Pen Women members and our local community of writers and creatives an opportunity to raise our profiles, read our original work aloud, and bring new people into the fold of Greenwich Pen Women.

An Open Mic Night is a live event, coordinated in real time. Attendees must register online prior to the event and then sign up for a five-minute speaker slot when they arrive. A five-minute speaker slot is enough time for writers and other creatives to read 500-800 words of fiction, memoir, poetry, essays, scenes, lyrics, blogs, or other work. Artists use five minutes to display a photograph or a painting and share the inspiration behind it. Invite family, friends, and other creatives.

The Friends of the Cos Cob Library will provide refreshments.
