Heritage with Hoopla: Ancestors in Ship Passenger Lists
Join us as we wander through Hoopla's "Discovering Your Roots: An Introduction to Genealogy" using The Great Courses series. This week, learn how to make sense of passenger arrival records: the single most precious document for reconstructing your ancestors' voyage to North America. Using several key guideposts and sources (including colonial land records and immigrant directories), you can uncover facts about arrivals from colonial days through the 1950s.
No registration is required! Attendees will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is limited to 18. Please arrive early as the program will start right on time.
