Ashforth Children's Concert: Peter and the Wolf

The Ashforth Children's Concert Series returns as musicians from the American Classical Orchestra bring to life Sergei Prokofiev's rendering of the beloved classic tale Peter and the Wolf.

It's fun for the whole family! Children will be introduced to the classic tale, classical music, and the instruments of the orchestra: flute, oboe, clarinet bassoon, French horn, violin, and piano. Plus, mime performer Catherine Gasta will provide a dynamic enactment of the story narration. Narrator Maestro Thomas Crawford will be accompanied by ACO wind; string; and brass musicians, each portraying one of the story's colorful characters.

There will be a complete 30-minute performance followed by an interactive educational segment. Note: to prepare for the program, we recommend families check out this video ACO produced with New York's WNET/Thirteen.
