Friends Friday Films: "They Shall Not Grow Old"

From 1926 to 1954, the date we recognize as Veterans Day was designated as Armistice Day in recognition of the end of WWI. To honor all who have served and particularly those caught in fighting the First World War, we are showing Peter Jackson's peerless documentary. Comprised only of footage shot from 1914-1918, the film is narrated solely by perfectly restored interviews with veterans of WWI. State-of-the-art technology brings the archival footage into color and frame rate that, along with the veterans' sharp reminiscing, takes us into the trenches of the Great War like no other film, book, or documentary has before. This film is rated R for disturbing war images.

Admission to Friends Friday Films is open to all at no charge. Showtime is 7 pm. Doors open at 6:45 p.m.
