Friends Friday Films: "Puzzle"
Subdued Connecticut homemaker Agnes (Kelly Macdonald), largely taken for granted by her family, navigates the process of following her own passions and dreams when she meets competitive jigsaw puzzler Robert (Irrfan Khan in one of his final roles). This sweet film accompanies Agnes on her journey out of monotony, into self-discovery and authenticity. This film is rated R for language.
REEL Talk: Directly after the screening, stay with us for a conversation with Cathy T. Marshall of the film's art department. An accomplished set decorator with multi-faceted experience in art direction and design, Marshall has crafted on-screen environments for characters in wide-ranging films and television shows, from the Sundance darling Puzzle to Spike Lee's Oscar-winning BlacKkKlansman, to the hit TV show Jack Ryan. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Set Decorators Society of America, East Coast region.
